    UnCon Contest Winners

    Congratulations to:
Mano Vega - the Normal mini contest, for the "Dwarven Boarmaster"
Redic's Girl - the Colossal Mini contest, for the "Living Fireball"

    Comments:
Not sure what to think of this, since the only judge on the contest was the person who created it. A public vote would have been good, but even that would be skewed given the community. Some interesting entries, but most of them would qualify as VASTLY undercosted for what they delivered. I think WOTC will get back some interesting ideas on abilities and pieces that people want to see, at least.

To be honest, costing the minis is kind of a hit or miss proposition, since there's no straightforward way to determine cost. Also, a lot of times, we want to create that one mini that would make our warband unstoppable or that throws in everything and the kitchen sink. And yes, I suppose it's just human nature for us to want to under-cost things we made.

But, on the good side, at least those ideas are out there now, and maybe one of the designers takes a look and say, "Hey, that would be an interesting mini!" and make one with a bit more balance. :)

Congrats to the winner, and great ideas, everyone.
