The Seventh Arm I

The group, on the way home from an engagement, discover the town's treasurer under attack by a rogue. They rescue the treasurer and, after chasing the rogue across the rooftops, catch him by killing him. It is revealed that the rogue was in the treasurer's employ, but has been turned about him. He had been investigating a strange merchant who wanted to buy a (possibly) magical disk.

The group made their way to Shapic, a small hamlet (if that!) near the northern Tarwood, where the rogue had gone with some companions investigating the merchant.

The group investigated the northern Tarwood, with the wolves (Chissara's friends) leading them to an old ruined tower, once the home of the Rule of the Seventh Arm - a tyrannical wizard and marilith who once ruled the area. There they dealt with bugbears and a strange fiendish creature. Descending into the tunnels beneath the tower, they were ambushed by a lamia and a large water elemental - the party fled without defeating either.

Return to Cofston for healing and advice (Lukas had been Wisdom-drained by the lamia), then back to the tower.
