War Party preconstructed sets

The two War Party preconstructed sets have been cancelled. Here is the announcement from Wizards:

Wizards of the Coast announced today (28 Oct 2003) that it will not be releasing the two Dungeons & Dragons nonrandomized miniatures products: Orc War Party and Outlaw War Party. The decision was both a business-related one, as well as one based on player feedback. Both products were scheduled to release in February 2004. For more information on our other D&D miniatures products and the miniatures skirmish game, visit the Miniatures section of the Dungeons & Dragons website or the miniatures product information listings.

These products would have been as follows:

Orcish War Party 4 Kobold Warriors 1 Goblin Sneak 1 Ogre 3 Orc Archers 1 Orc Berserker 6 Orc Warriors.

Outlaw War Party 1 Cleric of Order 1 Dwarf Axefighter 1 Halfling Veteran 5 Man-at-Arms 3 Elf Archers 1 Wood Elf Skirmisher 2 Wolves 1 Human Wanderer 1 Owlbear

Both were due out in February 2004, but are now cancelled.

Designers' Notes

Rob Heinsoo: The "Outlaw Warparty" is more an rpg-centered product than a competitive skirmish product.

It's not meant to be a warband for the skirmish system. There's no mini in it that makes an Owlbear part of a LG or CG warband.
